Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2026 – Religare Enterprises Limited has announced the appointment of Lajja M. as Executive Vice President – Human Resources, further strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to enhance its people, culture, and employer branding agenda across the Group’s diverse financial services businesses.
In her new role, Lajja will lead Religare’s external employer branding initiatives while driving talent acquisition, talent engagement, and people development strategies across the organization. She will work closely with business leaders and HR teams to support the company’s long-term talent strategy, strengthen organizational culture, and enhance employee experience across its businesses.
With more than two decades of experience spanning financial services and media, Lajja M. brings extensive expertise in talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, employer branding, employee engagement, HR technology, and people operations. Throughout her career, she has successfully partnered with leadership teams to build high-performance cultures and scalable people practices within rapidly growing organizations.
Prior to joining Religare Enterprises Limited, Lajja served as Senior Vice President – Human Resources & Administration at Spark Capital Advisors, where she played a key role in building and scaling the firm’s HR and administration function. During her tenure, she led several strategic people initiatives, strengthened organizational capabilities, and helped develop talent frameworks that supported the company’s growth trajectory.
Before Spark Capital Advisors, she spent over seven years with ASK Group, where she held leadership positions including Assistant Vice President – HR and Senior Manager – HR. In these roles, she partnered closely with the organization’s Wealth Management and Fund Raising businesses across India and Singapore, leading critical initiatives related to talent management, employee engagement, performance management, and workforce development.
Earlier in her career, Lajja worked with ICICI Venture as HR Manager, managing a broad range of human resources responsibilities including talent development, performance appraisal, recruitment, employee benefits, HR policies, and organizational interventions. She began her HR leadership journey with Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (Times Group), where she served as an HR Business Partner supporting editorial functions and driving key people initiatives.
An alumna of University of Mumbai, Lajja earned her Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources Development. Beyond her corporate responsibilities, she has actively contributed to industry forums and conferences as a panelist, sharing her perspectives on evolving workplace trends, talent management, and the future of human resources.
Her appointment reflects Religare’s continued commitment to building a future-ready workforce and strengthening its employer brand while supporting sustainable growth across its businesses.
