Philadelphia, United States, June 2026 – GSK has appointed Ajay Tandon as Director, Product Management – Field Technology, strengthening the company’s commercial technology leadership as it continues to invest in AI, data, omnichannel engagement, and digital capabilities that enhance field effectiveness and customer engagement.
In his new role, Tandon will focus on translating investments in artificial intelligence, data platforms, omnichannel engagement, and field technologies into practical capabilities that empower commercial teams and improve customer interactions. His appointment reflects GSK’s commitment to leveraging technology and innovation to support better decision-making, stronger customer engagement, and improved commercial execution.
Tandon brings more than two decades of experience at the intersection of commercial strategy, field operations, customer relationship management, data analytics, and technology within the pharmaceutical industry.
Prior to joining GSK, he served as Director, Commercial CRM Product & Field Technologies at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Companies (U.S.), where he owned the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for enterprise CRM, field reporting, and commercial technology platforms supporting more than 1,800 users across sales, medical, and market access functions. During his tenure, he led several transformational initiatives, including CRM modernization, omnichannel engagement programs, field technology enhancements, commercial analytics modernization, Customer360 integrations, and digital platform optimization initiatives.
Before Otsuka, Tandon spent more than thirteen years with Novartis, where he held a series of progressively senior leadership positions including Service Operations Leader – US CRM, IT Head, Application & Service Management – Commercial Data Platforms, Associate Director – CRM Operations, and Associate Director – Commercial CRM Development. During this period, he led large-scale CRM operations, commercial data platform modernization, field force technology programs, Veeva CRM deployments, customer data initiatives, analytics transformation projects, and service governance programs supporting thousands of commercial users.
Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Application Consultant at Customer Systems, where he specialized in CRM implementation, application development, service operations, and project management.
Throughout his career, Tandon has built extensive expertise in commercial technology strategy, CRM platforms, field force effectiveness, omnichannel engagement, customer analytics, data integration, product management, digital transformation, and enterprise technology delivery. His experience spans leading large-scale technology portfolios, managing global delivery teams, and driving innovation across commercial organizations within the pharmaceutical industry.
His appointment comes at a time when GSK continues to accelerate investments in digital transformation, advanced analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, and customer-centric engagement models. Tandon’s leadership is expected to support the company’s efforts to bridge strategy, technology, and field execution while enhancing commercial effectiveness across its global business.
