New Delhi, Delhi, India, April 2026 — Nimish Jain has started a new position as Executive Vice President – Sales and Business Development at Vikram Solar, where he will lead global sales strategy and business development initiatives to strengthen the company’s market position and drive growth across geographies.
Prior to this role, Nimish Jain served as CEO – India at Airtouch Solar, where he led the company’s India operations and drove business expansion in the fast-evolving solar technology landscape. His experience reflects a strong focus on B2B growth, international business development, and building strategic partnerships in the renewable energy sector.
Earlier, he was associated with Solarig as Managing Director – India, where he played a pivotal role in setting up the company’s operations in India. He built a solar asset management and O&M portfolio of over 300 MW within a short span and held complete P&L responsibility, while also developing project pipelines and acquisition strategies for the business.
In a previous stint at Vikram Solar, Nimish Jain served as Head of Global Sales, where he significantly transformed the sales function by nearly doubling revenues within two years. He expanded export contribution from under 10% to nearly 30% and successfully developed key international markets including the USA, Australia, the Middle East, Greece, the Netherlands, and Denmark, while managing a large global sales team.
His earlier career includes a strong growth trajectory at Jinko Solar Co., Ltd., where he held multiple leadership roles including Deputy Director – APAC, Country Manager – India, and Sales Manager – India, managing large-scale operations, closing major deals, and leading regional teams across India and Southeast Asia. He also worked with SMA Solar Technology AG as Regional Manager and with Reliance Industries Limited in international business development roles within the solar group, building a strong foundation in global markets and strategic partnerships.
Nimish Jain holds an MBA in Marketing and Strategy from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, which complements his extensive industry experience in the renewable energy sector.
Vikram Solar is one of India’s largest solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturers, with over 17 years of experience in the industry. The company has an installed manufacturing capacity of 9.50 GW for solar PV modules and is among the largest pure-play module manufacturers in India. Its enlisted capacity under the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) stands at 2.85 GW as of mid-2025.
