Boston, Massachusetts, United States, June 2026 — Liberty Mutual Insurance has appointed Marlys Marvel as Senior Director, Change Experience Center of Expertise.
Marvel has been associated with Liberty Mutual Insurance for more than eleven years and has held a series of leadership roles across change management, transformation, employee experience, talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, and financial management.
In her new role, she is responsible for leading enterprise-wide change management and change leadership capability building initiatives across Liberty Mutual.
Prior to this appointment, Marvel served as Change Experience Practice Leader, where she led the enterprise change management practice and helped integrate organizational development, organizational design, and change adoption approaches across business transformation initiatives.
During this period, she developed and scaled Liberty Mutual’s Change Experience framework, supported leadership capability development, and provided guidance on major strategic initiatives involving organizational, operational, and workforce transformation.
Earlier, she served as Senior Project Manager, Global Transformation, supporting high-impact transformation programs and strategic initiatives across the organization. Her responsibilities included aligning global business objectives with project execution, transformation planning, stakeholder engagement, and organizational readiness activities.
Before that, Marvel held the position of Director, Employee Experience and Engagement Practices, where she led employee engagement measurement strategies and helped develop employee experience frameworks focused on workforce engagement, feedback, recognition, and organizational effectiveness.
She also served as Director, Talent Strategy and Planning and Director, Talent Management Programs & Projects, supporting talent strategy, organizational capability development, talent management, leadership initiatives, and workforce planning activities.
In addition to her corporate responsibilities, Marvel is the Founder and Lead Explorer at Human Edge, an independent initiative focused on neuroscience, content strategy, and human performance.
Prior to rejoining Liberty Mutual’s leadership ranks, she served as Vice President, Technology and Operations Risk / Project Consultant at Santander Bank, supporting risk management, operational effectiveness, and strategic projects.
Earlier in her career, Marvel held finance leadership positions with Liberty Mutual, including Manager, Financial Analysis, where she supported investment decision-making, financial controls, and business transformation initiatives.
She also served as Manager, Financial Controls at Seguros Caracas de Liberty Mutual and began her professional career with KPMG as a Senior Consultant – Risk Advisory Services, focusing on risk management, business process improvement, operational controls, and performance optimization.
Throughout her career, Marvel has developed expertise across change management, organizational transformation, employee experience, talent strategy, organizational effectiveness, leadership development, risk management, business performance, and enterprise capability building.
