Gurugram, Haryana, India, June 2026 — ZOOM Communications has appointed Seema Bangia as its Chief People Officer (CPO). In her new role, she will spearhead the company’s people strategy, aligning human resources initiatives with business objectives while leading leadership hiring and development, strengthening organizational effectiveness, driving performance management, and ensuring adherence to ethics and governance standards.
With over 35 years of experience across human resources, organizational development, leadership coaching, governance, and business transformation, Seema Bangia has built an accomplished career spanning leading Indian and multinational organizations, including Mahindra Group, Carlsberg India, ZTE Telecom, Canon, Sony India, Nestlé, Motorola, and AT&T/Lucent Technologies. Her extensive expertise covers strategic HR leadership, talent management, organizational culture, leadership development, succession planning, diversity and inclusion, and enterprise governance.
Prior to joining ZOOM Communications, Seema served as HR Business Leader, Leadership Coach, Organization Development Consultant, and Certified Independent Director at Leading Edge–People Consulting, where she advised organizations on leadership, culture, governance, and organizational transformation. She partnered with CEOs and senior leadership teams to navigate business growth, organizational change, and people strategy while also serving as an ICF-ACC Leadership Coach and MCA-certified Independent Director with expertise in ESG and BRSR.
Before establishing her consulting practice, Seema spent nearly 12 years with Mahindra Group, including serving as Vice President & Chief People Officer, Board of Director – Aero & Defence (Mahindra & Mahindra). During her tenure, she led strategic HR initiatives across multiple businesses and joint ventures, building leadership and succession pipelines, strengthening employee engagement, driving diversity and inclusion, enhancing governance frameworks, and fostering organizational readiness in highly regulated industries. Earlier in her career, she held senior HR leadership roles as Head – HR at Carlsberg India, General Manager – HR at ZTE Telecom, Senior Manager – HR at Canon, Manager – Employee Development & Training at Sony India, and also worked with AT&T/Lucent Technologies, Motorola, and Nestlé, developing broad expertise across manufacturing, FMCG, telecom, aerospace, defence, and consumer sectors.
