Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2026 — Ion Exchange India Ltd. has appointed Santosh Modhave as General Manager – HR at its Corporate Office in Mumbai. In his new role, he will serve as Compliance Head – PAN India and Head – HR for the Resin Business & Special Projects, leading strategic human resources and compliance initiatives across the organization.
Santosh brings nearly three decades of experience in human resources, industrial relations, employee relations, statutory compliance, organizational development, and plant HR across leading manufacturing organizations. Prior to joining Ion Exchange India Ltd., he served as Deputy General Manager – Industrial Relations at Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd., where he led industrial relations initiatives at the Roha manufacturing facility and strengthened employee relations and compliance practices.
Before that, Santosh was Head Human Resources – India (Manager HR – India) at Ampacet Corporation, overseeing the company’s HR function across India. Earlier, he served as Head of Employee Relations (Employee Relations Manager) at Clariant, where he was responsible for employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, employee engagement, statutory compliance, and government liaison for a workforce of more than 1,200 employees. During his tenure, he successfully concluded three long-term wage settlements, streamlined recruitment processes, improved industrial harmony, and implemented several workforce optimization initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Santosh held leadership positions including Human Resources Head (Senior Manager) at Subros Ltd., HR & IR Head (Plant HR Manager) at Endurance Technologies Ltd., and Manager – Corporate HR, IR & Administration at Durian Industries Ltd. Across these roles, he built extensive expertise in HR strategy, industrial relations, labor law compliance, talent development, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational capability building.
Santosh holds a Master of Personnel Management (MPM) in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from IMRRD, Ahmednagar (Pune University), completed during 1996–1998.
