Pune, Maharashtra, India, July 2026 — Hansgrohe Group has appointed Shonil Bakare as Head – Finance and Controlling, reinforcing its finance leadership in India. In his new role, Shonil will oversee finance and controlling functions, driving financial strategy, business performance, governance, compliance, and operational excellence to support Hansgrohe’s continued growth in one of its key international markets.
Prior to joining Hansgrohe Group, Shonil spent nine years with Glatt Systems Private Limited, where he steadily progressed through several leadership positions, culminating as General Manager. During his tenure, he led financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, cash flow management, statutory and tax compliance, internal controls, inventory management, risk management, legal contract governance, transfer pricing compliance, and strategic financial planning. Earlier within the organization, he served as Deputy General Manager and Senior Manager, playing a key role in strengthening financial governance and improving business profitability.
Before Glatt Systems, Shonil served as Manager at Mahindra & Mahindra, where he contributed to finance and business performance initiatives within one of India’s leading automotive manufacturers. Earlier, he worked as a Financial Analyst at Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt. Ltd., managing profitability analysis, forecasting, cost control, cash flow management, statutory audits, tax compliance, dealer audits, and management reporting. His responsibilities also included special finance projects involving taxation, inventory valuation, and process improvements.
Shonil began his corporate career as a Management Trainee at JCB India Limited, where he gained experience in budgeting, rolling forecasts, costing, inventory control, and financial reporting under both UK GAAP and Indian GAAP. Prior to that, he completed his professional training as an Articled Assistant at Deloitte Haskins & Sells, working on statutory audits across manufacturing, automotive, telecommunications, chemical, and capital goods industries, building a strong foundation in financial reporting, audit, governance, and compliance.
With nearly 20 years of experience across finance, controlling, business planning, audit, taxation, risk management, and corporate governance, Shonil has developed deep expertise in driving financial discipline and supporting sustainable business growth. His appointment reflects Hansgrohe Group’s continued investment in strengthening financial leadership to support its expanding operations and long-term strategic objectives.
