BENGALURU, INDIA — IndoFast Energy has elevated Abhishek R Sharma to Assistant Vice President – Deployment and Operations & Maintenance (O&M), reinforcing the company’s commitment to scaling India’s electric mobility infrastructure and battery-swapping ecosystem.
In his expanded leadership role, Abhishek will continue to oversee the deployment, operations, maintenance, and performance optimization of IndoFast Energy’s rapidly growing battery-swapping network across India. He will play a critical role in supporting the company’s ambitious growth plans and operational excellence initiatives as it accelerates the adoption of electric mobility nationwide.
Abhishek has been associated with the organization since its formation and has been instrumental in building one of India’s largest battery-swapping networks. As Head (AVP) – Deployment and O&M, he has led the deployment and operations of more than 1,800 automated battery-swapping stations across 24 cities, supporting over 100,000 vehicles. Under his leadership, the network has scaled to more than 175,000 battery swaps per day while maintaining an exceptional uptime of 99.95%.
One of his most significant achievements has been spearheading the transition of Deployment and O&M operations from SUN Mobility to IndoFast Energy, the joint venture between IndianOil and SUN Mobility. He also designed and implemented the Operations & Maintenance Ecosystem (OME) model, enabling rapid network expansion while optimizing manpower and operational costs.
Prior to joining IndoFast Energy, Abhishek served as Chief General Manager and Head of Deployment and O&M at SUN Mobility, where he built the national field operations organization from the ground up and successfully deployed more than 600 battery-swapping stations across India. Earlier, he held several leadership roles with ATC Telecom Infrastructure, including Circle O&M Head and Circle Project Head, managing large-scale telecom infrastructure operations and rollout programs across multiple regions.
His earlier career includes key project, deployment, and operations leadership assignments with Bharti Infratel, Alcatel-Lucent, Idea Cellular, Reliance Communications, and other telecom infrastructure organizations. Across a career spanning more than two decades, he has developed deep expertise in large-scale deployment programs, operations management, infrastructure optimization, energy management, vendor governance, and technology-led operational transformation.
Abhishek’s elevation reflects IndoFast Energy’s confidence in his ability to continue driving operational excellence, infrastructure reliability, and scalable growth as the company expands its battery-swapping footprint across India.
