Gurugram, Haryana, India — June 2026 — Jindal Steel Ltd. has appointed Afrin Noor as Vice President – Talent & Strategy, entrusting her with leading the organization’s talent strategy, workforce planning, organizational development, leadership initiatives, and people transformation agenda as the company continues its growth journey across India and international markets.
In her new role, Afrin will focus on strengthening organizational capability, enhancing leadership pipelines, advancing workforce effectiveness, and aligning talent strategies with the company’s long-term business objectives. Her appointment reflects Jindal Steel’s continued commitment to building a future-ready organization supported by strong people practices and leadership development frameworks.
Afrin joins Jindal Steel after an accomplished career spanning more than two decades across manufacturing, industrial, technology, and engineering sectors. Prior to this appointment, she spent over 16 years with Honeywell, where she held several senior human resources leadership positions across India, ASEAN, East Asia, and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
Most recently, she served as HR Director – Honeywell Building Automation India, ASEAN and East Asia, leading human resources strategy for a business with more than 3,000 employees across nine countries in the Asia-Pacific region. During her tenure, she partnered closely with business leaders to drive workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, talent development, leadership capability building, and employee engagement initiatives supporting long-term business growth.
Earlier at Honeywell, she served as HR Director – Honeywell Building Technologies India, HR Leader – Honeywell Buildings & Safety and Productivity Solutions India, HR Leader – Security and Fire Asia Pacific, and several other leadership roles where she played a key role in organizational transformation, talent management, change management, performance development, and workforce strategy.
Before joining Honeywell, Afrin spent more than seven years with Tata Steel, where she held leadership positions in human resources and industrial relations. During her tenure, she managed end-to-end HR functions including recruitment, performance management, learning and development, industrial relations, workforce planning, organizational design, and employee engagement. She also played an important role in supporting corporate services, mergers and acquisitions, and business functions reporting directly to the Managing Director.
With extensive experience spanning talent management, organizational development, leadership development, industrial relations, workforce planning, and business partnering, Afrin brings a strong blend of strategic and operational expertise to her new position.
Her appointment comes at a time when organizations across the manufacturing and industrial sectors are increasingly focusing on leadership capability, workforce transformation, and future-ready talent strategies to support growth and competitiveness in rapidly evolving markets.
