Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, December 2024 – Ahmad Yahya has been named the Group Chief Information Officer at Saudi German Health. In this role, he will lead the healthcare group’s IT and digital transformation strategies, focusing on enhancing healthcare services through innovative technology solutions. His mission includes integrating cutting-edge systems to improve patient care, operational efficiency, and strategic growth across the Middle East and North Africa region.
Prior to his current appointment, Ahmad Yahya served as Chief Information Officer Consultant at Dubai Insurance Co., where he provided expert guidance on digital transformation and IT strategies for one year.
At American Hospital Dubai, Ahmad held dual roles as Chief Information Officer and Chief Operating Officer for over three years. His accomplishments included implementing a comprehensive three-year IT strategy, upgrading infrastructure, and achieving HIMSS Level 6 accreditation for electronic medical records. As COO, he contributed significantly to operational KPIs, patient satisfaction, and expansion initiatives.
Before this, he served as Chief Information Officer at Medical Service Corps, UAE Armed Forces, for four years. He spearheaded the implementation of a hospital information system across the military healthcare system, transforming digital care environments and ensuring the technical readiness of a 220-bed tertiary military hospital.
Ahmad also held the role of CIO (A) at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, where he directed IT strategy and implemented ERP and EMR systems across a comprehensive healthcare network in Abu Dhabi.
Earlier in his career, he worked as IT Director at Dubai Healthcare City, overseeing significant IT infrastructure upgrades and supporting the development of world-class healthcare facilities.
