Delhi, India, January 2025 – Ajit Horra has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Principal Officer of Gallagher’s insurance broking business in India, subject to regulatory approval. With over three decades of expertise in the insurance industry, Ajit is poised to lead Gallagher’s operations and strategic initiatives in this key growth market.
As CEO, Ajit will oversee Gallagher’s operations across multiple cities, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Gurugram, and Kolkata, managing a workforce of 180 employees. Under his leadership, Gallagher is committed to enhancing its client offerings, leveraging global expertise to address evolving risks, and driving growth and innovation in the Indian insurance broking sector.
Before his current role at Gallagher, Ajit Horra served as Managing Director at Gallagher Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd., contributing significantly to its operational excellence and client engagement strategies over the past four months.
Prior to joining Gallagher, Ajit held leadership roles at Prudent Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd., including serving as Director for two years. During this period, he played a pivotal role in steering the company’s strategic growth and expanding its footprint in India. As National Head, Ajit spent over seven years overseeing critical operations and building long-term client relationships, solidifying Prudent’s reputation as a leading insurance broker.
