With over three decades of extensive experience in the financial and insurance sectors, Alok brings a wealth of expertise and strategic insight to his new role. He will oversee the company’s operations, spearheading innovation, growth, and excellence in the insurance industry.
Alok Agarwal took charge at Zurich Kotak General Insurance in January 2025, where he leads a dynamic team dedicated to driving the company’s vision forward. Before joining Zurich Kotak General Insurance, Alok held key leadership roles at ICICI Lombard, where he served as Executive Director for over 23 years. His responsibilities included managing the Retail Group, Wholesale Group, and Emerging Markets, focusing on corporate, government, rural, SME, and financial inclusion business across India.
Alok’s earlier career includes a significant tenure at ICICI Bank, where he rose to the position of Deputy General Manager in the Project Finance Division, showcasing his expertise in finance and large-scale project management.
Alok holds an MBA in Finance from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, where he graduated among the top 10% of his class. He also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University, further complementing his analytical and strategic acumen.
