Columbus, Ohio, USA, May 2024 – Amanda Kanai has stepped into a pivotal role as the Director of Human Resources for US Operations at The Wendy’s Company. With her vast expertise in HR management and strategic planning, Amanda is poised to drive significant advancements in workforce management within the organization.
Before her new role at The Wendy’s Company, Amanda was instrumental as the Vice President of Human Resources and Legal at Schwan’s Home Delivery, where she served from July 2023 to May 2024. During her tenure, Amanda led a comprehensive restructure of the HR and legal departments, achieving substantial cost reductions and enhancing operational efficiency. She played a crucial role in guiding the company through a large-scale organizational change following its acquisition, managing a team of 30 and coordinating with multiple external consultants.
Previously, Amanda held the position of Human Resources Director at Schwan’s Home Delivery from June 2019 to July 2023. In this role, she led various strategic initiatives, significantly reducing field turnover and enhancing employee engagement across multiple divisions.
Earlier Roles: Amanda’s professional path also includes impactful tenures at Bath & Body Works and Target. At Bath & Body Works, she served as a Regional Human Resources Manager where she supported high-volume regions overseeing employee relations and HR strategy across numerous stores. During her time at Target, Amanda advanced from a Store General Manager to an Executive Team Leader for Human Resources, where she developed and managed HR policies, significantly enhancing employee satisfaction and performance.
