Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States | July 2026 — Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health has appointed Amy Schied Reigner as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), marking a return to the organization where her Penn Medicine journey began. In her new role, she will lead the strategic direction and oversight of all human resources functions, supporting workforce excellence, organizational culture, leadership development, and talent strategy across the health system.
Amy returns to Lancaster General Health after serving as Chief Human Resources Officer at Penn Medicine Princeton Health, where she led the organization’s people strategy and HR operations while supporting business growth, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
Prior to that, she held several enterprise HR leadership roles with the University of Pennsylvania Health System, including Associate Chief Human Resources Officer and Human Resources Manager. During this period, she helped strengthen alignment across the health system while supporting local organizations with strategic HR initiatives, workforce planning, and leadership partnership.
Earlier in her career, Amy served as an HR Business Partner at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, where she partnered with clinical and operational leaders across multiple departments. Before joining Penn Medicine, she was an HR Business Partner at Inova Health System, and previously held the same role at Lancaster General Health before its integration into Penn Medicine.
She began her professional HR career as an Employment Specialist at Holy Spirit Health System, building expertise in recruitment, employee relations, and talent management.
With nearly two decades of human resources leadership experience in the healthcare sector, Amy has built deep expertise in strategic human resources, organizational development, workforce planning, leadership partnership, employee engagement, talent management, and HR transformation. Her return to Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health brings both enterprise-wide leadership experience and a strong understanding of the organization’s culture and community.
