Singapore, August 2024 – Anja Chong has been appointed as the Head of Human Resources at Portcullis Group. In this new role, Anja will lead the company’s human resources strategies, including talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement initiatives. Her responsibilities will encompass overseeing HR operations across the group’s extensive network in Asia, ensuring that the firm continues to attract and retain top talent to support its growth and innovation.
Before her new role, Anja Chong was the Director and Head of Business Development at Portcullis Group, where she served for over six years. In this capacity, she was instrumental in building key client relationships across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Hong Kong, managing banking portfolio relationships, and onboarding Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients. Anja also worked closely with the CEO, COO, and Group President on business planning and change management initiatives, contributing to the strategic growth of the company.
In addition to her role at Portcullis, Anja is the Founder & CEO of Alo Potentia, an e-commerce platform that focuses on sustainable solutions for women’s clothing, particularly addressing the need for pockets in female apparel. She has been leading this venture since December 2019, handling all aspects from product development to digital marketing.
Anja also has an impressive athletic background as an International Short Track Speed Skating Athlete for the Malaysian National Team. She won four gold medals at the SEA Games in 2017 and 2019 and competed internationally, including in the Asian Games, World Cup Series, and World Championships.
