Anupama Ramaswamy Appointed as Managing Director and Chief Creative Officer at Havas India

Gurugram, Haryana, India, September 2025 — Anupama Ramaswamy has recently been appointed as Managing Director and Chief Creative Officer at Havas India, building on her leadership journey within the organisation where she earlier served as Joint Managing Director and Chief Creative Officer and as Chief Creative Officer at Havas Worldwide India. Her mandate has been to nurture a truly integrated creative culture within Havas, uniting diverse capabilities under one roof to strengthen the agency’s innovative edge. With her leadership presence spanning Gurugram and Mumbai, she has been instrumental in driving the agency’s creative vision and business growth.

Before joining Havas India, Ramaswamy held senior leadership positions across some of the world’s most renowned advertising agencies. At Dentsu Creative, she worked as Managing Partner and National Creative Director, where she spearheaded campaigns for marquee clients including Maruti Suzuki, Ikea, Vivo, Subway, Paytm, Hindustan Times, Unicharm, and Hamdard. Her focus on digital and content strategy, social media, and integrated brand communication helped shape innovative, cross-agency solutions for key clients.

Earlier, she was with Cheil Communications as Executive Creative Director, overseeing impactful campaigns and driving business growth through innovative creative solutions. Prior to that, she spent more than five years at JWT as Senior Creative Director & Associate Vice President, where she managed high-profile accounts and delivered campaigns that blended creativity with business outcomes.

In the earlier part of her career, Ramaswamy worked with Lowe Lintas, EURO RSCG, Rediffusion Y&R, and FCB Ulka, where she built her foundations in advertising through diverse roles in art direction and creative leadership. These experiences equipped her with a broad understanding of brand strategy, creative storytelling, and cross-industry campaign development.

With more than two decades of experience, Anupama Ramaswamy continues to be recognised as one of India’s leading creative leaders, known for combining strategy, innovation, and storytelling to deliver business impact.
