Anurag Srivastava Appointed as Managing Director & CEO of Parasea Coal Mine Project Pvt. Ltd.

Kolkata, West Bengal, India, September 2025 — Parasea Coal Mine Project Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Gainwell Commosales Pvt. Ltd., has appointed Anurag Srivastava as its new Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer. His appointment marks a significant milestone for Gainwell’s coal mining operations in West Bengal, as the Group continues to build leadership in underground mining and manufacturing excellence.

Anurag brings with him a unique blend of governance, consulting, and corporate leadership experience. Most recently, he was a Partner at PwC India, where he advised leading organizations on transformation, investment promotion, and sustainable industrial growth, strengthening his credentials as a trusted consultant for large-scale businesses.

Prior to that, Anurag served in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) for over 16 years, holding senior leadership roles in the Government of West Bengal. His tenure included responsibilities as Secretary, Industry Department and Managing Director of the State Warehousing Corporation, where he spearheaded large-scale investment initiatives, logistics modernization, and digital governance reforms.

Earlier, he served as Director of MSME and Managing Director of Biswa Bangla, leading the promotion of small enterprises and heritage products. He also worked as District Magistrate of Darjeeling and Bardhaman, where he oversaw governance, law and order, and socio-economic development for millions of residents, earning national recognition for innovative initiatives under MGNREGS.

Anurag is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He further enhanced his expertise with a MicroMasters in Data, Economics, and Development Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His career trajectory reflects a deep commitment to governance, innovation, and sustainable growth.
