Amman, Jordan – May 2026 – Bank al Etihad has appointed Heba Qasem as Chief Financial & Human Resources Officer – International & NBFI, reinforcing the bank’s leadership team as it continues to strengthen its regional presence, governance capabilities, and long-term growth agenda.
Qasem joins Bank al Etihad with more than two decades of experience in banking, financial governance, regulatory compliance, financial control, and human capital leadership across Jordan’s financial services sector.
Prior to joining Bank al Etihad, she served as Chief Finance Officer and Human Resources at INVESTBANK Jordan, where she led both the Finance and Human Resources functions for the Group. In this role, she oversaw financial governance, regulatory reporting, capital planning, IFRS compliance, human resources strategy, organizational effectiveness, and institutional governance frameworks. She played a key role in strengthening financial discipline, enhancing transparency, and supporting sustainable business performance across the organization.
Before being appointed CFO and HR Head, Qasem served as Finance Manager at INVESTBANK, where she directed the bank’s financial and managerial accounting functions, led budgeting and profitability analysis, managed regulatory reporting to the Central Bank of Jordan, oversaw financial consolidation, and strengthened internal controls and financial reporting frameworks.
Earlier, she served as Financial Control Manager at INVESTBANK, where she established the Financial Control Department, implemented governance mechanisms across accounting systems, enhanced reporting integrity, and resolved complex financial control challenges during a critical growth phase.
Prior to INVESTBANK, Qasem was Head of Financial Control Unit at Al Rajhi Bank Jordan, where she was a member of the core establishment team responsible for launching the bank’s operations in Jordan. She played a leading role in building the Finance and Financial Control functions, developing accounting and reporting frameworks aligned with AAOIFI standards, and supporting regulatory engagement with the Central Bank of Jordan and other stakeholders.
Earlier in her career, she served as Managerial Accounting Head Unit at Capital Bank of Jordan, gaining extensive experience in management accounting, financial planning, budgeting, and performance reporting.
Throughout her career, Qasem has developed deep expertise in financial governance, IFRS reporting, regulatory compliance, Islamic banking standards, strategic planning, capital management, risk oversight, organizational leadership, and people management.
In her new role, she will oversee finance and human resources responsibilities across Bank al Etihad’s international operations and non-banking financial institutions portfolio, supporting the bank’s growth strategy while strengthening governance, talent, operational excellence, and financial performance.
