Birmingham, United Kingdom – June 2026 – NFP, an Aon company (Europe) has appointed Craig Hunter as Group Chief Operating Officer, strengthening its executive leadership team as the organization continues to scale its operations, transformation initiatives, and client-focused growth strategy across the UK and Ireland.
Hunter joins the role with more than two decades of experience spanning operations, transformation, finance, strategy, governance, technology, and business performance. Most recently, he served as Group Chief Operating Officer at Bspoke Insurance Group, an NFP company, where he led enterprise-wide transformation and operational performance initiatives. In this role, he oversaw finance, information technology, human resources, business intelligence, transformation, and reserving functions, helping drive organizational effectiveness and business growth.
Prior to Bspoke Insurance Group, Hunter served as Target Operating Model Director at Wesleyan, where he led the delivery of a major operating model transformation programme and helped shape the next phase of the organization’s strategic transformation agenda.
Earlier, he built an extensive leadership career at Aviva, spanning nearly two decades across a variety of senior executive positions. As Projects Director, Group Operations and IT, he led the execution of global regulatory and business transformation programmes covering business integration, financial crime, disaster recovery, data strategy, and operational excellence initiatives across multiple markets.
Before that, he served as Transformation and Performance Director, Finance, where he developed and governed Aviva’s global finance transformation roadmap and established finance shared service operations. He also held key leadership positions including Commercial, Propositions and Change Director, Strategy, Portfolio and Business Architecture Director, Head of Life Business Architecture, Head of Customer Experience Change, Head of Performance, and Head of Compliance, playing a pivotal role in shaping strategy, transformation, governance, customer experience, and operational performance across the organization.
Hunter began his professional career with Ernst & Young, where he served as an Audit Senior, building a strong foundation in finance, governance, risk management, and business operations.
With extensive expertise across operational transformation, strategic planning, business architecture, technology enablement, governance, finance, compliance, and organizational performance, Hunter brings a unique blend of operational leadership and transformation experience to NFP.
In his new role as Group Chief Operating Officer, he will oversee operational strategy, transformation programmes, technology initiatives, performance management, and organizational effectiveness, supporting NFP’s continued growth and enhancing its ability to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients and colleagues.
