Pune, Maharashtra, India, April 2026 — Bhushan Mali has stepped into a new role as AI & Innovation Lead – Global HR Digital at Syngenta, marking a significant milestone in his journey across HR technology, digital transformation, enterprise architecture, automation, Workday integration, SAP HR, and global HR systems strategy.
In his new role at Syngenta, Bhushan Mali will focus on advancing AI and innovation within the Global HR Digital function. His appointment reflects Syngenta’s continued emphasis on digital transformation, intelligent HR systems, innovation-led service delivery, automation, and scalable technology solutions across global people processes.
Before taking on this expanded role, Bhushan served as Architect, Innovation and Automation Lead at Syngenta, where he managed the Solutions, Innovation and Automation team. His responsibilities included driving the HR systems roadmap, maintaining HR systems architecture, representing HR systems in operational design forums, supporting vendor capability evaluations, partnering with global stakeholders, and identifying digital opportunities within the HR domain.
Earlier at Syngenta, Bhushan served as Integration Lead, where he led the global Workday integration team and contributed to HR systems integration strategy, data and integration landscape readiness, system stabilization, support team upgrades, and overall HR systems landscape strategy.
Bhushan has also worked with Shell as Solution Architect – CIO IT, where he led solution architecture for the CIO IT roadmap for HR platforms and served as lead solution architect for an HR transformation program. His role included governing technology designs related to the HR domain and supporting program design delivery.
In his earlier tenure with Syngenta, Bhushan held roles including HR Solutions and Systems Change Lead, Solution Architect – HR Platform, Mobile & Digital Development, and Design Authority Architect – SAP. Across these roles, he contributed to Workday design and delivery, HR systems change management, global HR technology roadmaps, digital transformation from SAP ERP HCM to Workday Cloud, architecture governance, vendor management, and SAP HR technology strategy.
Prior to Syngenta, Bhushan spent nearly nine years with John Deere, where he grew through technology roles including Associate Technical Architect, SAP Senior Consultant, SAP Consultant, Senior Software Engineer, and Associate Software Engineer. His work covered SAP HR, SAP Portal strategy, HR UI strategy, SAP-Java connectivity, application delivery, project leadership, integration, implementation, and technology alignment with business processes.
