New York, United States – November 2024 – Brandon Coate has stepped into the role of Managing Director, Human Resources at J.P. Morgan, where he will oversee HR strategies and initiatives that align with the firm’s commitment to client-first principles and excellence in global financial services. Brandon brings a wealth of expertise in human resources, reward management, and talent development acquired over his extensive career.

Before assuming his current position, Brandon served as the Managing Director, Head of New Joiner Experience Asia at J.P. Morgan in Singapore, where he was instrumental in enhancing the onboarding experience for new hires across Asia. His focus on streamlined integration processes and culture alignment strengthened J.P. Morgan’s appeal as an employer of choice in the region.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Brandon spent nearly 15 years at HSBC. His most recent role there was as Head of Human Resources for Asia, also based in Singapore. During his tenure, he led HR strategy and talent initiatives to upskill the workforce, responding to the evolving demands of the financial industry. His initiatives emphasized performance management, employee engagement, and talent retention across HSBC’s diverse Asia operations.

Earlier at HSBC, Brandon held the position of Senior Reward Manager, Asia Pacific in Hong Kong, managing performance and reward programs for key banking sectors across Asia. He also served as Group Reward Manager in London, where he led regulatory compliance projects impacting remuneration and executive compensation.

Brandon’s career began with positions at Lehman Brothers Bank as an Associate in Compensation & Benefits and Watson Wyatt as a Consultant in London. His early experience in compensation and benefits laid a strong foundation for his future roles in HR leadership.
