Brent will lead Rystad Energy’s financial strategy and operations, supporting its mission to deliver high-quality data and advisory services to its global clientele across the energy sector. His extensive experience in finance, commercial leadership, and global operations will be pivotal in driving the company’s continued growth and innovation.
Before joining Rystad Energy, Brent Baumbusch served as an Advisor and Commercial Leader at Gelato for nearly four years, following his role as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure at Gelato, Brent managed financial operations, scaling the company’s global presence and driving commercial strategies.
Prior to Gelato, Brent was the Chief Financial Officer at EWOS Group, a leading global supplier of fish feed, where he oversaw the company’s financial strategy through a period of significant growth, culminating in the acquisition of the company by Cargill in 2015.
Brent’s experience also includes his role as Chief Financial Officer at SPT Group, a Schlumberger company, where he led financial operations for the engineering software and services provider, focusing on the oil and gas industry.
Earlier in his career, Brent spent seven years at McKinsey & Company as an Associate Principal, specializing in technology, media, telecom, and private equity practices. This role honed his skills in strategic leadership and financial management across multiple industries.
