Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, May 2026 – Brijesh Sharma has joined Mayur Wovens Private Limited as Group Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), bringing more than 26 years of experience in HR leadership, industrial relations, organizational development, manufacturing HR, and culture transformation.
In his new role, Brijesh Sharma will lead the Human Resources function for the group with responsibility for HR strategy, organization development, industrial relations, talent management, leadership development, employee engagement, compliance, and culture transformation across corporate and manufacturing operations. He will work closely with the leadership team and promoters to strengthen workforce capability, organizational effectiveness, succession planning, operational excellence, and performance-driven culture initiatives across the group.
Prior to joining Mayur Wovens Private Limited, Brijesh Sharma spent over 17 years with Welspun Living Limited and Welspun India Limited, where he held multiple senior HR leadership roles including AVP & Head – HR (Plant) and AGM – HR (Plant). During his tenure, he led large-scale HR transformation initiatives, strengthened industrial relations, improved workforce productivity, implemented digital HR systems, and drove leadership development and diversity initiatives across manufacturing operations.
At Welspun, he played a significant role in reducing recruitment costs, improving hiring efficiency, strengthening governance frameworks, and driving operational excellence. He also led initiatives that substantially reduced absenteeism and enhanced workforce capability across plant operations.
Earlier in his career, Brijesh worked with JCT Mill as Deputy Manager – HRBP (Corporate Office), where he contributed to HR process optimization, lean management initiatives, training and development systems, and quality improvement programs including 5S and Kaizen implementation.
Before that, he was associated with Winsome Textile Industries Limited as Senior Executive – HRBP, focusing on talent acquisition, productivity enhancement, employee engagement, and attrition management.
He began his professional journey with Nahar Spinning Mills Ltd. as Senior Officer – HR (Plant), where he handled recruitment, compliance, performance management, and HR strategy implementation supporting organizational growth and employee development.
Brijesh Sharma holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology – SMU.
