Concord, New Hampshire, United States, September 2024 – Bruce Carrier has been named Chief Human Resources Officer at Concord Hospital Health System. In his new role, Bruce will lead the organization’s HR strategy, ensuring the development of a progressive, innovative, and high-performance work culture across Concord Hospital’s multiple campuses. His leadership will focus on talent management, employee engagement, and workforce planning, aligning the HR function with the hospital’s mission to deliver outstanding patient care to the community.
Before joining Concord Hospital Health System, Bruce Carrier served as Chief Human Resources Officer at University of Michigan Health-West. In this role, he provided strategic HR leadership to multiple locations and managed HR operations, talent acquisition, employee relations, and workforce planning. He was pivotal in shaping a high-accountability, people-first culture for over two years.
Prior to that, Bruce spent more than a decade at University of Michigan Health-West in various HR leadership roles, including Vice President of Human Resources. His responsibilities included overseeing day-to-day HR operations and implementing strategies that drove employee engagement, talent management, and succession planning across the organization.
Earlier in his career, Bruce worked as Director of Human Resources at Metro Health – University of Michigan Health. He was responsible for leading HR initiatives related to organizational design, leadership development, and compliance with labor regulations. His efforts contributed to a positive and productive work culture while enhancing HR operations.
Bruce also has a strong background in employee relations and talent management from his time as Area Human Resources Manager at SpartanNash, where he oversaw HR functions for over 1,700 employees across multiple locations, ensuring operational efficiency and strong business partnerships.
