Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany, June 2026 — Carolin Franz has expanded her leadership responsibilities at Siemens Healthineers, taking on responsibility for Human Resources across Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) and China, in addition to her existing role as Head of Human Resources for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Announcing the development, Carolin shared that she is honored to broaden her remit and support the people strategy across these key global regions.
Carolin has been associated with Siemens Healthineers for more than a decade and has held a series of increasingly senior global HR leadership positions. Most recently, she served as SVP, Head of Human Resources Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), where she led a large HR organization supporting employees across dozens of countries while serving as a strategic advisor to regional leadership teams. In her expanded role, she now oversees HR for EMEA, APJ, and China, supporting approximately 52,000 employees across 63 countries and leading a team of 470 HR professionals.
Prior to this, she held the additional responsibility of Global HR Transformation Program Lead, Human-Centric Collaboration, where she led a global HR transformation initiative focused on hybrid work, employee flexibility, leadership effectiveness, and workplace transformation. She partnered across functions to develop new ways of working and strengthen employee experience globally.
Earlier, Carolin served as SVP, Global HR Business Partner – Advanced Therapies, partnering with one of Siemens Healthineers’ global business areas and leading HR strategies across multiple international markets. During this period, she played a key role in organizational design, talent management, leadership development, transformation initiatives, and post-merger integration efforts. She also led the company’s HR integration activities for the Varian acquisition as Global Head of HR Integration, overseeing global integration strategy, talent retention, culture alignment, and organizational design.
Before joining Siemens Healthineers’ senior leadership ranks, Carolin held multiple global HR business partner roles supporting diagnostic imaging and digital health businesses. She also completed an international assignment with Siemens PLM Software in the United States, partnering with global business leaders and contributing to merger and acquisition integration initiatives. Earlier in her career, she held HR leadership and graduate program roles within Siemens, following an internship assignment in the United Kingdom and a student HR position with Bosch.
