Paris, Île-de-France, France, May 2026 — Catherine Letang has recently started a new position as Vice President Human Resources Wabtec Europe and Employee Relations at Wabtec Corporation, marking another significant milestone in her distinguished global HR leadership career.
In her new role, Letang will lead human resources strategy for Wabtec Europe while overseeing employee relations across a large and complex industrial environment. She will focus on organizational transformation, workforce engagement, labor relations, HR planning, and aligning people strategy with operational and business growth priorities across the region.
Letang has been associated with Wabtec Corporation for nearly five years and previously served as Vice President Human Resources, Employee Relations and HR Lead for France, Belgium and Morocco, where she led global HR transformation initiatives, chaired the European Works Council, managed labor relations strategy, and drove employee engagement across multiple geographies. She also led Wabtec’s global Women’s Network, supporting diversity and inclusion initiatives worldwide.
Earlier, she held senior HR leadership roles at GE Power, where she managed HR operations for thousands of employees across complex industrial operations and led large-scale restructuring, cultural integration, labor negotiations, and organizational transformation initiatives following the GE and Alstom integration.
Her extensive global HR leadership journey also includes strategic HR business partner roles at GE Transportation and GE Power, where she supported international growth, post-acquisition integration, talent strategy, commercial operations, organizational effectiveness, and global workforce transformation.
Before her tenure with GE, Letang served as HR Director at Richemont, overseeing HR leadership across luxury manufacturing operations in France and Switzerland, managing restructuring, mergers, internal mobility, and executive advisory initiatives for globally recognized luxury brands.
Her earlier experience includes HR leadership and transformation roles with Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) and DuPont de Nemours, where she developed expertise across compensation strategy, workforce restructuring, HR systems transformation, labor negotiations, compliance, and performance management.
With nearly three decades of experience spanning industrial manufacturing, transportation, luxury, financial services, energy, and global operations, Letang brings deep expertise in HR transformation, labor relations, organizational effectiveness, and strategic workforce leadership.
