HOUSTON, TEXAS, USA, September 2024 — CenterPoint Energy (NYSE: CNP), a leading energy delivery company, is pleased to announce Keith Stephens as the newly appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer. This strategic role underscores CenterPoint’s renewed commitment to enhancing communications with customers and stakeholders, especially in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl.

Keith Stephens joins CenterPoint Energy with a robust background in utility industry communications. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs at National Grid and as Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at Pacific Gas and Electric Company. His extensive experience also includes leading emergency communications during natural disasters and operational crises, a critical asset to CenterPoint’s strategy moving forward.

“Keith’s deep expertise in the utility sector and his proven track record in crisis communication are invaluable as we enhance our stakeholder engagement and communication efforts,” said Jason Wells, President and CEO of CenterPoint Energy. “His leadership will be pivotal in our ongoing efforts to provide transparent and effective communication, improving our service quality and community trust.”

In his new role, Stephens will oversee all aspects of CenterPoint’s communications strategies, ensuring that the company meets its commitment to delivering top-tier service and information dissemination. He is also the immediate past chair of the Edison Electric Institute’s Executive Advisory Committee for Communications and serves on the American Gas Association’s Communications & Marketing Committee.
