Nashville Metropolitan Area, Tennessee, United States, November 2025 — Christina Watts has begun a new role as Sr Principal – Career Growth Leader for Tennessee and Kentucky at Mercer. In this position, she will serve clients across the region by leveraging Mercer’s best-in-class data, products, and services to drive impactful people and career solutions. She expressed pride in the positive impact she has made for clients and their employees, and excitement about the opportunity to elevate client value in new and innovative ways.
Before taking on this new responsibility, Watts served for a little over four years as Senior Director, People and Change at Trivet Consulting, where she led people transformation, change initiatives, workforce planning, and large-scale organizational development projects. This role deepened her expertise in strategic planning, employee engagement, technology implementation, and people-centric change leadership.
Prior to this, she spent approximately eight months as Senior Director, Compensation at Brookdale, where she led the compensation team and oversaw the development and administration of compensation programs, career architecture, salary structures, and incentive plans. This experience strengthened her compensation strategy and governance capabilities.
Earlier, Watts worked for around one and a half years as an independent consultant, supporting organizations in HR, systems, change management, process improvement, salary structure design, and major technology implementations. This period gave her wide exposure across industries including healthcare, manufacturing, and retail.
Her career foundation includes leadership roles across CKE Restaurants, Bridgestone Americas, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and her earlier nine-year tenure at Mercer, where she built significant expertise in global compensation and benefits, total rewards, benchmarking, survey management, consulting, and client advisory.
