Comcast Midwest Bolsters Leadership Team with Four Executive Promotions

In a significant boost to its Midwest leadership team, Comcast Midwest is proud to announce promotes four Executives the promotion of four highly talented executives, as shared by Kalyn Hove, SVP at Comcast. This move is set to enrich the company’s strategic operations and customer engagement across the Midwest Region, leveraging nearly 45 years of combined experience within the telecom giant.

“I am excited to welcome these four talented executives into the Comcast Midwest leadership team. Their combined experience within the company will be invaluable as we continue to expand our services across the Midwest Region and connect our customers to what matters most,” stated Hove, highlighting the strategic importance of these appointments.

The promotions reflect Comcast’s dedication to nurturing its talent and emphasize the company’s support for women in leadership roles. The executives stepping into these pivotal positions are celebrated for their contributions to the company and their potential to drive Comcast’s growth and service excellence in the Midwest.

Karly Baraga Werner is appointed as Vice President of External Affairs, ascending from her role as the Senior Director of Government and Regulatory Affairs within the Midwest Region. Werner, who joined Comcast in 2012, brings her extensive experience in legal counsel to telecommunications, promising to strengthen Comcast’s brand and community relationships significantly. “Karly will be responsible for shaping and promoting the Comcast brand while fostering relationships in the communities the company serves,” shared Hove.

Robert Patterson, known for his robust sales leadership, takes on the role of Vice President of Comcast Business. With a track record of leading Enterprise Sales teams and previously serving as Senior Director in the Florida Region, Patterson is set to spearhead the Midwest’s Comcast Business team towards achieving key business objectives. “Rob will lead, manage and develop the Midwest’s Comcast Business team to achieve sales, revenue and P&L objectives,” Hove added.

Robin Perman has been promoted to Vice President of Customer Experience and Human Resources. Having joined Comcast in 2017 and formerly the Senior Director of Human Resources in Comcast’s West Division, Perman’s new role encompasses overseeing Human Resources and enhancing employee and customer experiences across the board.

Megan Mason steps into the Vice President of Finance and Business Operations role, bringing over 15 years of telecom industry expertise to support financial operations and business strategy in the Midwest Region. Mason’s extensive background includes significant roles in finance and operations across various Comcast divisions.

Comcast’s commitment to leadership development and the promotion of women in significant roles underscores these appointments. “These leaders represent the commitment and investment Comcast makes in the development and advancement of our people and women in leadership,” Hove remarked, underscoring the strategic importance of fostering talent within the organization.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
