Devender Gupta joins Trident Group India as Head – HR & ER

Ludhiana, Punjab, India, November 2025 — Trident Group India, a global leader in textiles and paper manufacturing, has announced the appointment of Devender Gupta as Head – Human Resources & Employee Relations (HR & ER). With a distinguished career spanning nearly three decades, Devender brings a wealth of experience in HR strategy, employee engagement, organizational transformation, and industrial relations across leading Indian enterprises.

Prior to joining Trident Group, Devender served as Group CHRO at Haldiram Snacks Pvt. Ltd., where he led end-to-end HR strategy, talent management, and culture transformation for one of India’s most recognized FMCG brands. His initiatives focused on aligning workforce strategy with organizational growth and enhancing leadership capability across multiple business units.

Before Haldiram, Devender spent over 26 years at Dabur India Limited, where he rose through the ranks to become Vice President – HR. During his tenure, he was a key member of Dabur’s Corporate HR leadership team, driving large-scale transformation projects in Talent & Performance Management, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, and Employee Engagement. He also spearheaded digital HR initiatives through analytics and gamification, strengthening employee experience across a 7,000+ workforce. His leadership was pivotal in implementing organization redesign, HCM rollouts, and succession planning for critical positions globally.

Earlier in his career, Devender contributed to strategic people practices and transformation initiatives that modernized HR systems and strengthened business alignment in high-growth sectors. His proven expertise in industrial relations, leadership development, and HR digitization positions him perfectly to lead Trident’s people strategy into its next phase of evolution.

At Trident Group India, Devender will oversee the company’s HR and employee relations functions, focusing on nurturing high-performance culture, advancing workforce excellence, and supporting the Group’s expansion in both domestic and global markets.
