Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 — Dr. Sudhir Gupta has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Alfred H Knight India Private Limited, bringing with him a distinguished career of more than 30 years in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry. He will lead Alfred H Knight’s India operations and drive its regional growth agenda with a focus on operational excellence, innovation, and customer trust.
Prior to joining Alfred H Knight, Dr. Gupta served in senior executive roles at Cotecna Inspection and SGS, where he played an instrumental role in expanding operations across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. His leadership saw the successful execution of M&A initiatives, development of multi-country operations, and delivery of transformation-led business growth. Most recently, he contributed as a senior consultant in the TIC space, supporting organizations in scaling performance and operational alignment.
Dr. Gupta began his career with Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, and subsequently held various leadership positions during his 17-year tenure at SGS, including Executive Director – India and Vice President – Agriculture Services for Southeast Asia Pacific. At Cotecna, he served as Senior Vice President – South Asia and Middle East, spearheading regional strategy and profitability across eight countries.
He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the National Dairy Research Institute and has deep domain expertise in inspection, food safety, agriculture, and quality assurance. His proven ability to lead large-scale teams, drive strategic execution, and cultivate trust with clients positions him well to lead Alfred H Knight’s India business into its next phase of expansion.
