Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, December 2025 — Zydus Group has announced the promotion of Dr. Tushar Nahata to the position of Vice President. In his expanded leadership role, Dr. Nahata will continue to drive formulation development excellence across critical injectable portfolios while strengthening Zydus Group’s global development, quality and regulatory alignment for complex injectable therapies.
Dr. Tushar Nahata has been associated with Zydus Life Sciences / Zydus Group for close to a decade and has steadily progressed through senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Senior General Manager, following earlier responsibilities as General Manager and Deputy General Manager, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening injectable formulation development programs, leading regulated market portfolios and enabling end-to-end development of complex injectable dosage forms for global markets.
Prior to this, Dr. Nahata spent several years with Zydus Cadila, serving as Senior Manager and Manager, where he led formulation development of injectable dosage forms for the US and EU regulated markets, contributing to product lifecycle management, regulatory submissions and commercialization readiness.
Earlier, he worked with Matrix Laboratories Ltd. as Deputy Manager, contributing to ophthalmic and parenteral formulation development for regulated markets, followed by an academic and industrial research tenure at SGSITS as Research Scholar and Lecturer, where he pursued doctoral research on depot injectable antipsychotic drugs and taught pharmacokinetics, novel drug delivery systems and regulatory affairs.
He began his professional journey at Sun Pharma as a Research Assistant, contributing to the development of microsphere-based depot injections and lyophilized injectable formulations for global markets.
