Lake Mary, Florida, United States, June 2026 — Team Cymru has appointed Eric Carlson as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), strengthening its executive leadership team as the company continues to expand its cybersecurity platform, global customer base, and international footprint. Bringing more than 30 years of financial leadership experience, Eric joins the organization with an exceptional track record of helping technology companies scale with financial discipline, strengthen operational performance, and prepare for strategic growth. In his new role, he will help drive Team Cymru’s next phase of expansion while supporting its mission of helping organizations identify and respond to the cyber threats that matter most.
Prior to joining Team Cymru, Eric Carlson served as Chief Financial Officer at MATRIXX Software, where he led global Finance, Accounting, IT, and Treasury operations for the multinational telecommunications SaaS company. During his tenure, he partnered with the CEO and Board to deliver a successful strategic acquisition in 2025, significantly improved financial performance through stronger unit economics, enhanced gross margins and Rule of 40 performance, achieved sustainable profitability and positive cash flow, and optimized treasury operations through improved capital management and foreign exchange risk mitigation.
Earlier, Eric served as Chief Financial Officer at Arine, where he helped professionalize and scale the AI-driven healthcare technology company by leading Finance, Legal, Human Resources, and IT functions. He played a pivotal role in securing Series B funding, obtaining venture debt financing, implementing KPI-driven operating models, and building scalable financial infrastructure that supported rapid annual recurring revenue growth. Before that, as Chief Financial Officer and Co-founder of Twin, he helped build the health technology startup from inception, securing more than US$50 million in venture funding, expanding the workforce from zero to over 400 employees, launching operations internationally, and establishing scalable governance and operational frameworks.
Eric also held senior finance leadership positions with Cisco Jasper, Seagate Technology, HCMS Group, Jasper Wireless, Infoblox, Redback Networks, and PwC. Across these organizations, he led strategic finance, mergers and acquisitions, IPO readiness, fundraising, sales operations, enterprise planning, investor relations, business transformation, and global financial operations. His extensive experience spans venture-backed startups, high-growth SaaS companies, healthcare technology, networking, telecommunications, and enterprise software, making him one of the industry’s most accomplished financial leaders.
