TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA – In a strategic move to enhance its position as a frontrunner in AI-driven patient intake technologies, FirstHx, headquartered in Toronto, has officially announced the appointment of Kirsten Lewis as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). Taking effect on March 20, 2024, this pivotal role will see Lewis at the helm of scaling operational performance and broadening the adoption of FirstHx’s AI-guided patient intake software across a diverse range of healthcare environments. Her focus will be on refining processes, boosting productivity, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional services to healthcare providers, patients, and the community at large.

With a distinguished 30-year tenure as a registered nurse and a track record of leadership excellence, Lewis brings to FirstHx a deep expertise in clinical and operational management, strategic and digital transformation, and team leadership. Before her new role, Lewis was a key figure at Think Research as the Senior Vice President of Clinical Research and Development, where she played a critical role in creating tools that bring evidence-based research and best practices directly to clinicians.
Her prior experiences also include significant roles at the University Health Network (UHN) in Canada and the Ontario Renal Network, where she led efforts in innovative care delivery models, improved patient flows, and the rollout of province-wide value-based innovations.
