Oslo, Norway, June 2024 – Gabriella Nyborg Hernando has been named the new Chief People Officer at Skalar. Gabriella brings extensive experience in human resources and organizational culture, making her an excellent fit to lead the company’s people strategy and drive success within Skalar.
Gabriella Nyborg Hernando has been with Skalar for nearly two years. Prior to her current role, she served as the Head of People and Culture for approximately 11 months, where she was responsible for shaping human resources and organizational culture strategies. Gabriella’s role encompassed talent acquisition, employee lifecycle management, employee retention, and fostering an inclusive and engaging workplace culture.
Before becoming the Head of People and Culture, Gabriella was the Head of Recruitment and Employer Branding at Skalar for about one year. In this role, she designed recruitment strategies, optimized advertising methods, and provided support and guidance to departmental leaders in their hiring endeavors. Gabriella also focused on refining the company’s employer branding to attract and retain top talent.
Prior to joining Skalar, Gabriella worked at MeyerHaugen as a Senior Recruitment Advisor IT & Bid Coordinator for approximately 1.5 years. She was involved in executive search, strategy, communication, screening and selection, employer branding, and onboarding.
Gabriella also served as a Recruitment Advisor at Dfind Norge for about 1.5 years. During her tenure, she contributed to Dfind being named “Recruitment Agency of the Year” at The Hunt by FINN.no in 2020. She provided recruitment services, research, and sales support as part of the Randstad group, the world’s largest provider of HR services.
Earlier in her career, Gabriella was a Recruitment Consultant at Kelly Services for approximately 1.5 years, where she focused on temporary staffing, recruitment, and sales. She also held the role of Project Coordinator at ISCO Group AS for over two years, where she managed office administration, research, multiple project coordination, project planning, administrative assistance, and project management. Additionally, Gabriella served as an Office Manager/EA at Egon Zehnder for one year in a temporary position, supporting senior-level executive search, board consulting, director search, management and team appraisals, and leadership development.
