Galliano, Louisiana — Gizelle Vining, an accomplished human resources executive with over two decades of experience in the field, has officially joined G.I.S. as the new Senior Director of Human Resources. Vining brings a wealth of expertise to her new role, where she will be spearheading strategic HR initiatives aimed at fostering organizational development and enhancing employee relations.
Prior to this appointment, Vining served as the People and Development Manager at DDG in Thibodaux, where she played a pivotal role in shaping HR strategies that significantly contributed to the firm’s growth from April 2023 to March 2024. Her responsibilities included overseeing talent management, strategic planning, and implementing robust compensation structures, among other duties.
Before her tenure at DDG, Vining was the Director of Corporate HR Benefits at HRI Properties in New Orleans from January 2022 to March 2023. Here, she was instrumental in refining benefits administration and enhancing employee satisfaction through strategic benefit frameworks and cost control measures. Her efforts were pivotal in maintaining competitive employee benefits in the market.
Further back, Vining acted as the Corporate HR Manager of Benefits and Compensation at a Greater New Orleans Area company from June 2019 to March 2022. Her role involved managing comprehensive employee benefits programs, establishing cost-efficient plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all company operations.
Vining’s earlier experiences also include roles at POOLCORP and as a Human Resources Consultant, where she managed equity programs and supported benefits administration across the US and Canada. This vast array of roles underscores her robust background in strategic HR management across different sectors, including energy and healthcare.
