Colombo, Sri Lanka, May 2026 – MillenniumIT ESP has announced the appointment of Harendra Samarasinghe as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership milestone as the company accelerates its global growth and enterprise transformation ambitions.
The appointment comes at a pivotal stage in MillenniumIT ESP’s journey as the organization continues to strengthen its position across cloud, cybersecurity, intelligent automation, enterprise applications, managed services, and AI-led digital transformation solutions for global customers.
Harendra Samarasinghe brings more than two decades of international leadership experience across technology services, enterprise transformation, software delivery, and operational scaling. Known for driving high-performance teams and large-scale delivery operations across multiple regions, he has built a strong reputation for enabling digital modernization and business transformation programs across global markets.
Before joining MillenniumIT ESP as Chief Executive Officer, Harendra served as Chief Delivery Officer at BCS Technology International Pty Ltd, where he led global delivery strategy for enterprise transformation programs across diverse industries. In this role, he managed delivery operations spanning multiple countries, overseeing more than 500 professionals with full P&L accountability while establishing governance frameworks that significantly accelerated go-live cycles and operational performance.
Prior to that, he spent nearly thirteen years with Virtusa across several senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Vice President – Head of Software Delivery, Continental Europe, leading delivery operations across DACH, Nordics, Benelux, and Iberia regions while managing a $30M+ portfolio and driving double-digit business growth. He also played a key role in integrating acquired consulting operations and strengthening strategic alliances with technology partners including Microsoft and ServiceNow.
Earlier at Virtusa, Harendra held leadership positions including Vice President – Head of Delivery ASEAN, Senior Director, Director – Delivery, and Associate Director, where he managed large-scale digital, cloud, and data transformation programs for global enterprises. Across these roles, he led teams ranging from 300 to over 500 professionals, managed multi-million-dollar portfolios, and drove complex transformation programs across healthcare, insurance, life sciences, and financial services sectors.
Before Virtusa, he spent nearly six years with John Keells IT in multiple leadership assignments including Head of Aviation Division, Business Unit Head – Aviation, and Program / Project Manager. During this period, he led aviation technology programs, product development initiatives, integrations with global travel technology platforms, and enterprise solution implementations for airline-related systems.
Earlier in his career, Harendra worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Excel Technology Lanka and Kingslake Engineering Pvt Ltd, building strong technical expertise in enterprise software development and ERP systems.
