Gurugram, Haryana, India, May 2026 — HARMAN, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and a global leader in connected automotive technologies, today announced the appointment of Shekhar Datta as Sales Management Leader, Consumer Audio India. Based in Gurugram, Datta reports to Philippe Rinckenberger, Sales Management Global Market. In this role, he will lead the next phase of growth for HARMAN’s Consumer Audio business in India.
With over 15 years of experience scaling consumer businesses in India, Datta brings deep expertise in consumer electronics, premium omnichannel sales and market expansion. He has held leadership positions at OYO, Ola (Weddingz.in), Amazon India, Cummins India and Johnson & Johnson (Bangladesh).

Datta holds a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calcutta.
