Elizabeth, New Jersey, United States, May 2025 – Inga Brown has stepped into a new leadership role as Head of People Functions – APM Terminal Elizabeth at APM Terminals. In her new capacity, Inga will drive human resources strategies and operational excellence for the terminal, supporting the organization’s goals of fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and resilient workforce within a global logistics environment.

Prior to this appointment, Inga spent over eight years at DHL Global Forwarding, where she most recently served as Senior Regional Human Resources Business Partner. In this role, she led HR strategy across six sites, overseeing more than 400 employees, and played a pivotal role in driving transformation initiatives around engagement, DEI, and performance management.

Earlier, Inga held the position of Senior Human Resources Analyst – Programs, Metrics & Strategy at DHL. She was instrumental in enhancing workforce analytics, HR technology implementation, and compliance reporting across the U.S. operations. Her strategic approach to data-driven HR solutions added significant value to talent engagement and operational planning.

Previously, she served as Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at DHL, where she implemented critical ATS tools and refined recruitment strategies that led to improved hiring efficiency and lower turnover rates. Her early career included a successful stint at LHH as an Executive Recruiter, where she specialized in executive placements in finance and accounting, earning multiple performance recognitions.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
