Jala Ashraf Appointed as Head of Human Resources EAMEA (Eurasia, Middle East & Africa) at Takeda

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, August 2024 – Jala Ashraf has started a new role as Head of Human Resources EAMEA (Eurasia, Middle East & Africa) at Takeda. In this capacity, Jala will lead HR initiatives across the region, driving strategies to enhance employee engagement and organizational development.

Jala Ashraf has been with Takeda for over seven years. Prior to her new role, she served as the Head of HR – UMEA (Ukraine – Middle East & Africa), where she demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing HR strategies across multiple regions. Before this, she was the Head of Human Resources – Middle East, contributing significantly to the HR functions and employee relations.

Earlier in her career at Takeda, Jala worked as an HR Business Partner for nearly four years, where she managed various HR functions, including payroll, recruitment, and talent management. She played a key role in the integration of Takeda & Shire, supporting manpower planning and restructuring initiatives.

Prior to joining Takeda, Jala was an HR Business Partner Egypt & Libya at Alcon, a Novartis company, where she led recruitment, onboarding, training, and talent development programs. She also contributed to the implementation of performance management processes and compensation programs.

Jala’s career also includes experience as an HR Specialist at Alcon, where she assisted in HR policy administration, performance management, and recruitment processes. She began her HR career as an HR Coordinator at Chalhoub Group, where she handled recruitment, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws.
