In her new role, Janene Pretorius will lead the people and culture agenda at F1® Arcade, focusing on building an inclusive, high-performance culture across its fast-growing global footprint. She will play a critical role in shaping leadership capability, talent strategy, and employee experience for the brand’s next phase of growth.

Prior to joining F1® Arcade, Janene Pretorius served as Group Director of People and Culture at The Wolseley Hospitality Group for over three years, where she led a transformation of the employee experience and embedded a people-first culture that improved retention, enhanced guest satisfaction, and enabled scalable growth. She also designed and launched BeAnything, a leadership initiative empowering women in hospitality and promoting career progression.

Before Wolseley, she spent over five years as Chief People Officer at The Ivy Collection, where she was fully accountable for the people agenda across more than 50 restaurants and new openings, driving learning, engagement, recruitment and retention strategies at scale.

Her leadership portfolio further includes serving as Chief People Officer at Caprice Holdings and Bill’s Restaurants, as well as earlier tenure as HR Director at Prezzo, where she implemented structured learning frameworks, leadership programs, apprenticeship models, and people systems for a workforce of around 5,000 employees across the UK and Ireland.

Janene began her hospitality learning and development leadership journey at Gaucho, where she created the Gaucho Academy and built comprehensive training ecosystems for front-line and leadership teams.

About F1® Arcade
