Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, January 2025 – John Sekar has joined Be Well Hospitals as the Chief People Officer, where he will be responsible for leading strategic human resources functions across the organization. In his new role, Sekar will oversee talent acquisition, workforce planning, leadership development, succession planning, employee engagement, and compliance management, while focusing on enhancing the company’s organizational culture and talent strategies.
Prior to his current role, John Sekar served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Groom India Salon & Spa Private Limited for over two years. During his tenure, he successfully led organizational restructuring, talent acquisition strategies, leadership hiring, and performance management initiatives, contributing to business growth and operational excellence.

Before that, he was the HR Head at Velammal Medical College Hospital & VMC Speciality Hospital for approximately five years, where he developed HR strategies aligned with the hospital’s objectives, implemented talent management programs, and played a key role in building leadership capabilities across the institution.
John also served as the Head of HR at Gleneagles Global Hospitals, where he managed recruitment, employee relations, performance appraisals, and compliance. His work focused on developing HR systems and policies to support business growth.
Earlier in his career, John Sekar held leadership roles at Kauvery Group of Hospitals and EID Parry, where he focused on policy formulation, employee engagement, talent management, and organizational restructuring.
