New York, United States, December 2024 – Kamran Ziaee has joined Con Edison as the new Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this pivotal role, Kamran will oversee group IT, cybersecurity, and corporate security, ensuring the seamless integration of technology, security, and strategic infrastructure to support the company’s ambitious vision for a sustainable energy future.
Prior to Con Edison, Kamran served at Verizon for over five years, where he held the role of Senior Vice President of Technology Strategy, Global Infrastructure & Security. He was instrumental in managing Verizon’s global network infrastructure, data centers, and private cloud platforms, while also leading digital workplace initiatives and end-user services.
At CenturyLink, Kamran excelled as the Chief Information Officer, where he drove transformative technology initiatives and championed diversity as an Executive Sponsor for Women in STEM.
Kamran also held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Liberty Global’s Ziggo and Sunrise AG, spearheading cutting-edge technological advancements across Europe. At eir Ireland, he launched IPTV services, underscoring his ability to innovate and execute large-scale projects in dynamic industries.
Kamran’s earlier roles as CIO at Unitymedia and CIO of Continental Europe at Virgin Media equipped him with a profound understanding of operational excellence and strategic leadership in the telecommunications and technology sectors.
