San Jose, California, United States, April 2025 — Zoom has announced the appointment of Kimberly Storin as its new Chief Marketing Officer, signaling a strategic move to reshape the company’s brand narrative at the intersection of AI, innovation, and human connection. She takes over from Janine Pelosi, who stepped down in 2023 to become CEO of another technology company.
In her new role, Storin will lead global marketing, including brand strategy, communications, product marketing, enterprise go-to-market, and regional programs. Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for Zoom, which is deepening its AI-first approach and expanding its platform capabilities across industries. With Zoom AI Companion and other innovations now central to the company’s roadmap, Storin is expected to play a key role in communicating the brand’s next era to its customers, partners, and the global market.
Prior to joining Zoom, Storin served as Chief Marketing Officer at Zayo Group, where she built the marketing and communications function from the ground up, co-led five-year strategy planning, and contributed to significant marketing-attributed revenue growth. Her strategic leadership helped the company secure a stronger brand presence and accelerate business transformation across cloud and infrastructure services.
Before Zayo, she was Chief Market Officer at RapidDeploy, where she developed a new market category and helped double corporate revenue while driving national media visibility. At IBM, she served as VP of Worldwide Marketing for IBM Cognitive Systems, where she led a turnaround of the $3B server and software division, introduced the AI infrastructure category, and exceeded growth targets over seven consecutive quarters.
Earlier in her career, Storin held key leadership roles at AMD, where she rejuvenated the brand and digital marketing strategy, and at Dell, where she built and led the company’s first M&A communications practice. She also spent five years at Deloitte, working on high-impact mergers and acquisitions. Her background includes extensive experience in brand strategy, product marketing, revenue operations, and marketing transformation.
Her appointment comes as Zoom reported a revenue of $4.6 billion for FY2025 and doubles down on its ambition to become an AI-first platform under the leadership of Founder and CEO Eric S. Yuan. Yuan recently stated, “As Zoom AI Companion becomes increasingly agentic, we look forward to continuing to help our customers fully realize the benefits of AI and discover what’s possible with AI agents.”
With a proven ability to scale marketing functions, align brand and growth, and drive innovation at the enterprise level, Storin is well-positioned to lead Zoom through its next wave of growth and market relevance.
