In his new role, he will lead the company’s strategic direction, operational excellence, and growth initiatives as it strengthens its position in India’s renewable energy sector. His appointment underscores the company’s commitment to accelerating innovation and delivering sustainable energy solutions across the wind and renewable energy landscape.
With over three decades of leadership experience in the renewable energy and industrial sectors, Prashanth Vittal brings extensive expertise in business leadership, manufacturing, operations, project execution, localization, and organizational growth. His proven track record of leading large-scale wind energy businesses and establishing manufacturing operations positions him well to guide KS Wind & Renewables through its next phase of expansion.
Prior to joining KS Wind & Renewables India Pvt. Ltd., Prashanth served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Senvion, where he was responsible for establishing the company’s operations in India, driving localization initiatives, and setting up multiple manufacturing facilities for wind turbine production. He led end-to-end operations, strengthening the organization’s manufacturing and operational capabilities over nearly six years.
Earlier, he served as Chief Executive Officer at Nordex/Acciona Wind Power, where he led the company’s India operations and business growth. Before that, he spent almost nine years as Director – Projects & Operations at Acciona Energía, overseeing project execution and operational excellence across renewable energy initiatives. He began his leadership journey with GE, where he served for more than 13 years, progressing to the role of General Manager and building a strong foundation in engineering, operations, and industrial leadership.
As Chief Executive Officer, Prashanth Vittal will focus on strengthening KS Wind & Renewables’ market presence, expanding its renewable energy portfolio, driving operational excellence, and advancing the company’s long-term vision of delivering innovative and sustainable EPC solutions.
