Ltd., a Bharti Group enterprise, has announced the appointment of Kumar Asit as the Brand CEO for Pizza Express, marking a significant move in the company’s leadership expansion and strategic growth journey. With over two decades of rich global experience spanning India, the UAE, the USA, and Bermuda, Kumar brings deep expertise in operational excellence, people leadership, and brand transformation within the food and beverage industry.

Before joining Gourmet Investments, Kumar served as AVP – Corporate Operations and Restaurant Excellence at Taco Bell India (Burman Hospitality Pvt. Ltd.), where he successfully led large-scale business expansions, operational optimization, and customer experience innovation. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in enhancing operational standards and driving profitability across multiple outlets.

Earlier in his career, Kumar held leadership roles with some of the world’s most recognized QSR brands including Yum! Brands, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Four Star Pizza, and Royal Orchid Hospitality (Dubai). His international exposure across varied markets has equipped him with a unique perspective on consumer trends, brand differentiation, and cross-cultural team management.

At Gourmet Investments Pvt. Ltd., Kumar will lead Pizza Express India’s growth strategy—strengthening the brand’s market presence, innovating customer experience, and aligning its operations with emerging global dining trends. An alumnus of the National Institute of Management Technology (NIMT), where he earned his MBA in Human Resources Development & Operations Management, Kumar’s leadership will play a pivotal role in reinforcing Pizza Express’s position as a premier casual dining brand in India.
