Pune, Maharashtra, India, June 2026 – Lakhwinder Kaur has joined Bajaj Auto Ltd. as Vice President – Real Estate, taking on a strategic leadership role responsible for the company’s global real estate portfolio, infrastructure development, facility management, and workplace transformation initiatives. In her new role, Lakhwinder will lead the strategy, development, and optimization of Bajaj Auto’s real estate assets, including corporate offices and manufacturing facilities. She will oversee end-to-end lifecycle management encompassing facility operations, new developments, expansions, sustainability initiatives, regulatory compliance, capital projects, and stakeholder management. Her responsibilities also include driving large-scale infrastructure projects, financial planning, cost governance, and the integration of green building and energy-efficient solutions across the organization.

Prior to joining Bajaj Auto Ltd., Lakhwinder spent more than eleven years with Cummins India, where she most recently served as India Region Facility and Real Estate Leader. During her tenure, she led integrated facility management operations across India, overseeing large-scale office campuses, refurbishment projects, workplace modernization initiatives, and strategic real estate developments. She successfully managed significant capital projects, including infrastructure upgrades, office expansions, and workplace transformation programs while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations. Her role also involved leading business continuity planning, lease negotiations, real estate strategy, and multi-location facility operations across the country.

Earlier at Cummins India, she served as Deputy General Manager – Facilities and Executive Manager – Facilities, where she played a critical role in managing facility operations, project execution, and workplace infrastructure development. Her leadership contributed significantly to operational efficiency, cost optimization, and the creation of high-performing work environments supporting business growth.

Before entering the manufacturing sector, Lakhwinder worked with Lakshya Forum for Competitions Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Mahesh Tutorials, as Operations and HR Head. She led expansion projects across North India, managing infrastructure development, operational planning, procurement, budgeting, vendor management, and large-scale event and logistics operations. Her efforts helped strengthen the organization’s presence across multiple locations while delivering operational excellence and cost efficiencies.

Lakhwinder began her professional journey serving as a Major in the Indian Army, where she gained extensive leadership experience in operational planning, resource deployment, GIS-based intelligence systems, and large-scale project execution. Her military background provided a strong foundation in strategic planning, crisis management, team leadership, and operational discipline—capabilities that have continued to define her leadership style throughout her corporate career.

An accomplished professional with a strong academic foundation, Lakhwinder holds an Executive MBA in General Management from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Human Resources) from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies. Her combination of military leadership, operational excellence, infrastructure expertise, and strategic business acumen positions her well to lead Bajaj Auto’s real estate and facilities agenda during a period of continued global expansion.
