Lusaka, Zambia, June 2026 — MTN Group has appointed Larry Annetts as Chief Executive Officer of MTN Zambia, effective no later than 1 September 2026.
Annetts brings approximately 29 years of telecommunications industry experience and has held several senior commercial leadership positions within MTN Group.
Prior to this appointment, he served in a leadership assignment with MTN Irancell, where he held responsibilities as Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. In these roles, he was responsible for commercial strategy, customer growth, product development, market performance, and revenue expansion initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Annetts held senior commercial leadership positions within MTN Nigeria, including Chief Marketing Officer responsibilities. He has also contributed to commercial and business growth initiatives across multiple MTN operations.
Throughout his career, he has been associated with customer acquisition strategies, commercial transformation programs, product innovation, digital growth initiatives, customer value management, and market development activities across the telecommunications sector.
His appointment forms part of MTN Group’s executive leadership changes announced under the company’s Ambition 2030 strategy.
