Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland, February 2025 – Lassi Valkama has been appointed as Chief People Officer at Meltlake, marking a significant leadership transition in the company’s HR and people strategy. With a strong background in organizational development, employee engagement, and leadership, Lassi will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s culture, talent management, and people-focused strategies.
In his new role, Lassi will oversee HR transformation initiatives, focusing on leadership development, talent strategy, and employee well-being. His expertise in people management, collaboration, and culture building positions him well to enhance workforce engagement and business growth at Meltlake.

Lassi has been with Meltlake for nearly three years, progressively taking on leadership responsibilities. Before his promotion, he served as Head of People and Culture, where he played a key role in HR operations, well-being initiatives, and talent acquisition. Prior to that, he was Support Functions Lead & Community Developer, contributing to employee engagement, culture-building, and workplace transformation.
Before Meltlake, Lassi held leadership and entrepreneurial roles in various industries. He founded Pieni Sirkus Oy in 2012, specializing in coaching, business consulting, and content creation. He also served as a Sales Manager at Acsion (ALSO Cloud Solutions Oy) and International Business Development Manager at GoGoCar.fi, where he managed business expansion and partnership development.
Additionally, he has been involved in community-building and employee engagement roles at organizations such as Aalto University Executive Education, LähiTapiola, and Union of Insurance Employees in Finland. His diverse experience in leadership, people operations, and strategic HR initiatives will be instrumental in driving a people-first culture at Meltlake.
