San Francisco, California, United States, July 2025 — Innovaccer has announced the appointment of Madhu Palkar as its new Chief Customer Officer, signaling a strategic move to deepen its customer-centric approach in the healthcare technology space.
Abhinav Shashank, Chief Executive Officer at Innovaccer, introduced Madhu’s appointment by stating, “When we met Madhu, it was obvious she’s one of the few people who actually understands healthcare operations – not just the buzzwords, but the messy reality.” With experience spanning payers, providers, and health tech organizations, Madhu brings a rare blend of operational expertise, customer empathy, and strategic foresight that aligns with Innovaccer’s mission of solving real-world healthcare problems—not just creating demo-ready software.
Before joining Innovaccer, Madhu Palkar served as Chief Strategy Officer at Unified Women’s Healthcare, where she led growth and strategic initiatives for one of the largest PE-backed provider practice management companies in women’s health across 22 states. Her work focused on value-based care, multi-site management, virtual care, and digital platform expansion.
Prior to that, she held the role of Chief Strategy Officer at UnitedHealth Group (UHG), where she oversaw global strategy and planning across growth, operations, partnerships, and investments. She played a critical role in aligning local and corporate priorities during the COVID-19 era, particularly in managing virtual care models and addressing clinical workforce shortages.
Madhu spent nearly a decade at Optum, where she held several key roles, including Chief Operating Officer of OptumConnect. She led the rapid scaling of Optum’s managed services business, drove client transformations using technology and analytics, and managed full P&L responsibilities across multi-site healthcare operations. She also launched and served as President of Optum’s first consumer product business.
Earlier in her career, Madhu held strategic consulting roles at L.E.K. Consulting and technical roles at Medtronic and Boston Scientific, where she worked on advanced cardiac medical device development.
